bwayphoto.com is where I got my DVX. They had a good price and I knew they were reliable. Just didn't buy any accessories cause that's where they try to sucker you.
E-bay. Very good seller. I got it when the camera first came out for $2800, brand new, shipping included. With the money saved, I got tons of accessories. Be careful and alway find a reputable seller.
Promax are good people, I bought an FCP system from the along time ago...there was problems with the hardware and they immediatly replaced, as well as follow up calls.
More money, but they also make there own raids and arrays and software utilities....
Rateing Good.
Zotz Digital, located in Grants Pass, Oregon. They have great prices and service. Check them out at www.zotzdigital.com. If you don't see what you are looking for on-line just give them a call or send them an e-mail, they most likely have it or will get for you very quickly.
It would be impossible to praise ProMax enough. They are absolutely first class, excellent people, incredible service, just all around excellent dealer. Charles McConathy is truly one of the "good guys" in this business.
I highly, highly recommend them.
Their prices are usually competitive. Even if you pay a little bit more, that would be going to support a first-class organization who will be there when you need them.
I know nothing about AbleCine, but I will never forget them being the first to drop the 100a on a salivating public. I had to use my entire ZEN reserve to not go for it. Im glad I didn't, because I had the most awsome experience ordering from EVS last thursday.
if anyone is interested, i just purchased my dvx100a from willoughbys.com in new york who is an authorized panasonic dealer =) i paid $3298($3342.95 w/shipping). My salesperson was Nar(ext. 215) and he was a pleasure to deal with.
