Where did the menu go?

The menu on my HVX won't come up. The camera won't record and it won't focus. It also won't turn off. It's as if it had a stroke. All the buttons on the left side and under the lcd work fine but nothing works on the right side of the camera. Sounds like I need to bring it into the shop but before I do I want to know if anyone else has had this problem before. Thanks for your time.

I'd say to try and use a couple of different power options.. battery then AC and possibly update the firmware and then also set everything back to factory defaults. I just know that when you send it in you get the minimum bench charge even if it's a simple fix.. so I'd say to try that stuff and go from there.... Sorry to hear about your trouble.
 
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I had the same problem with two different cams. Nothing cured it. Both had to go to Panasonic.
