Where can I go to find a primer on digital filmmaking with the GH1

October Black gave some very useful information and I think it is what dvx is all about. Good job dude. Don't worry about flack because it comes from nowhere in these forums. Just take the hit and keep moving.

Others are also contributing nicely so this can be a good source for peeps.

I hope I'm not coming off as defensive, but you did seem to snipe at me a little in your post.

Sorry you took it that way, I did not in any way intend to snipe at you, it was a very very general observation. Myself I find 35 mm the perfect focal length on a GH1, I use my Canon FD 35 mm f/2.0 about 60% of the time.

This is the easy way to remember this:

7D = This is what most movies look like as far as "image size" goes.

GH1 = About 4MM more telephoto in VIDEO mode (we're not talking stills. We're talking the recorded video image).

A 50mm on a "35mm Film Camera" will look like a 54mm on the GH1

A 24mm will look like a 28mm.

a 12mm will look like a 16mm.

They all will behave similar as well.

Pretty easy to remember.
