Check the marketplace here regularly, dvx100b's are always going up, often in great condition for unbeatable prices.
Also check out ebay because there are always auctions for dvx100b's and usually a couple pretty great deals at any given time.
You could also check your local craigslist listings for the camera, that way you can meet up and physically check out the camera and see if it is in a condition you are satisfied with before actually purchasing.
It also says it comes in like Black Sapphire or something like that...
New paint color: The DVX100B shows its colors with a sleek new Black Sapphire body color. It’s classy and beautiful, and the new texture makes fingerprints impossible to see. That'll keep your camera looking new, and nicer, longer.
Any DVX "B" model (i.e. DVX100B, DVX102B, DVX100BP, DVX102BEN...) is the black sapphire color you're looking for. Just think of the "B" as designating black (it doesn't, but it will work for our purposes here). You're probably confused because the sapphire isn't a "black black" like the rest of the camera body, so depending on the angle of the lighting in a photo it may look black or it may look not black. But it is the blackest DVX ever produced, there's none more black.
The letters following the "B" designate whether the camera is NTSC or PAL, and which of those you want will likely depend on your geographic location. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:PAL-NTSC-SECAM.svg
And to the useless responses up there- I hardly see the point in taking the time to make fun of a new member with an honest question.
