where can i buy a mic mount ??

[ogsk8r]

I have been searching high & low for a side mic mount, just like the one pictured on most of the stock photos of the dvx 100b. Does anyone know where the hell I can find one ?? I have a top shoe mount for my mic, but then at night I cant use it because my top shoe mount light is there so I have to gaff tape my mic to my camera. Please, someone HELP !!!

I had to replace my mic mount when some knucklehead slammed an entire kick drum on my dvx. I remember pricing a replacement part and it was something obscene.

I ended up finding a bicycle light clamp in the house, and then it was simply a matter of screwing in my own holes in to the thing and attaching it to the camera. Easy. It will cost you about 10 dollars and it looks something like this ---> http://www.casanovasadventures.com/catalog/light/734230_L.jpg

Here's a link to a place that has what you're looking for...the mic holder adapter and the mic holder assembly are sold separately, and EXPENSIVE. The bike light clamp looks better all the time! http://www.spec-comm.com/store/index.php?l=product_list&c=178

Here's a shoe splitter from B&H for $30.
You can have light and mic, or wireless and shotgun, or monitor and mic on top.
Don't know if that fits your budget.
