Where can I buy a hackable or hacked GH1 for sale? (or from whom)

So after all the research and mainly caring about superior video quality (especially for the price) and okay stills and of course the current price point for a used hacked GH1 compared to the GH2 (currently not in stock) the choice is obvious for me.

Where can I buy a hackable or hacked GH1 for sale or from whom? I'd prefer not just the body Thank you.

Only thing about it is the lens. I am not sure which lens to get and I am trying not to go broke since I am new to the lens game. I was thinking of the stock lens just to start off with, but if anyone has suggestions as to what lens to start off with to attach to the body I am willing to listen.

If you do some poking around on ebay, your local craigslist... etc. you could put together a great set of Nikon Primes of Canon FD primes which, depending on what you plan on shooting, will serve you very well.

I have only seen one on ebay at the current moment (hackable) I plan on shooting Music videos, Behind the scenes footage, documentary style interviews and commercials*. (I know commercials seems a bit broad so I am more focused on the other 3.)

Again I am new to the lenses so I'd have to look those up (even the terminology so to speak)

The only other issue I have is time, both the lens and body have to be purchased before the 24th of February (less than a months time as of today) because I have a few things I want to shoot outside of the country.

Good choice. It's a Canon killer.

I have a feeling both my hackable and non-hackable GH1's will be up for sale, after the GH2 has been comfortably on the shelf at B&H for a few weeks. (I don't wanna jump too soon...some things about it still seem off.) I just can't tell you how soon it will be yet.

As for lenses, if you want manual lenses, there's also Olympus/Zuiko OM lenses. They're killer lenses, and work great with the GH1! I've got a decent set of them, that I that I got for my Olympus 35mm SLR. Today I just ordered an Olympus/Zuiko 50mm f1.4 to add to the collection...that should be fun!

Well based upon the current budget I can afford to buy the body with the original kit or just the body with one lens for the time being. If I were to purchase a single lens with out breaking the bank (less than 500) what lens should that be? (please keep in mind of my current needs, Music videos, Behind the scenes footage, documentary style interviews (trying to accomplish the film look in all categories) and so forth.

i d look at the canon 50mm fd f1.4, 35mm f2, and 85mm f1.8...they all work great with a cheap adapter and u should be able to get all 3 for far under your 500$ budget. the kit lens is great outdoors but indoors its pretty useless without some lighting. i also have a barely used hacked gh1 (gold body) id be willing to part with. i dont wanna step on any toes of the guys who have already offered u tho. ill prolly ebay it when the gh2 arrives.(if !)

Thank you, you are not stepping on any toes all deals are welcome. So let me know as well if you are willing to part with it. Ideally id like to buy the came with the stock lens and possibly purchase another lens, so what you said about the lens sound great.

The inference I'm taking from your stated needs is for a high proportion of indoor shooting. As such you might be best off avoiding the kit zooms, instead going for fast primes (wide aperture, fixed focal length). The Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 "pancake" is a good starting point, as you get a high quality, fast, wide-standard focal length optic yet benefit from the auto features of the camera (plus manual options). Good for rapid, off-the-cuff shooting.

Supplement that with a 35mm or 50mm second hand manual lens from a legacy film slr camera system (plenty of good suggestions in previous responses) for more considered setups like tripod-mounted interviews, etc.

You could even consider adding one of the C mount CCTV lenses (such as Fujia 35mm f/1.7) which are almost giveaway cheap on ebay. Turn its limitations into "art".

So here is a lens set up i might be looking at if i can buy them used... although it doesn't look like i can get some of them all under 500
