Where are your Cast/Crew T-Shirts?

Just wondering if anyone in the boards has considered designing and making available Cast/Crew t-shirts from their shorts or features.

There are a couple good sites Printfection and CafePress to make designs available for purchase by both yourself and others. While CafePress has been around longer, I find Printfection has a better service.

I dont know about yous guys, but I want my "Smuggler's Ransom" Crew T-shirt. (Even if I'm just a poser and not really a crew member.)

I only wear DVXuser t-shirts, they are way cooler.

- Mikko ... is still waiting untill DVXuser makes some pants.

Have your art department design your t-shirts. You get something more personal, for everyone on the project...

I guess my post wasn't clear. I dont know how to make it so.

Ah.... let me try.

I'm wondering... if anyone in the DVXUSER forums has thought of making their Cast/Crew T-shirts available to US. Be it T-shirts they designed themselves, or their art department designed. Be it something more personal for everyone on the project, or just a single design for everyone. BUT, (here's the kicker), make the shirt available for anyone to buy... such as those of us here, in the forums.

CafePress/Printfection: You design a T-shirt, upload the design and put it in your "storefront". (Doesn't have to be a "store" store, but a "store" in the fact that it is a page that we (people other than the filmmaker) can go to to buy a shirt.) While I may (or have) have a shirt designed for cast and crew, that doesnt help put an official Smuggler's Ransom shirt on my back. Ah, now a CafePress or Printfection storefront created by the one and only Brandon Rice would allow me and the countless others to wear official Smuggler's fashions.

It's free to open the account and he stands to make money off the sales - or not if he so chooses.

And just in case my keyboard is typing in Japanese again for this post, this is not just about Smuggler's Ransom, but ANY and ALL shorts and films made by people in these forums.

Just doing my best with a Japanese keyboard.

why would they want it available for EVERYONE to buy? why not keep it for the people who helped on the film... it'd mean more to the people who worked on it. if everyone had the same shirt, the shirt would mean jack **** to the people who actually worked on the film...

"i got a Smuggler's Ransom shirt for working on the film"
"ya, i got mine on cafe press"

it takes away the value for the person who worked on the film.

Actually, I got a Smuggler's Ransom hat made from cafepress... pretty nice actually... Haven't had the money to make them for all the cast + crew. I do want to get some T-shirts designed, and actually there's a local guy here that does an amazing job, I'll set something up once that's done. In fact, I may see if people want to submit designs for the shirts!

Two Words: Viral Marketing.

I give away shirts with our logos to our customers and partners. They always show up at trade shows, seminars and everywhere. Almost instant validation of product to non users. Best marketing money can buy.

worked for me my company name is on lots of people. i had a lot of request for shirts i gave them out for free when i got started. my best friend always get question where can i get that shirt well it works :) case and point:

I assume this has been covered by the other posts?

As for the shirts meaning "jack-shi*" to the people that worked on the films: I have a crew shirt and hat for almost every Spielberg and Donner film made between 82 and 95. I dont think there is a single crew member that gives a "jack-shi*". And the shirts and hats came from production, not eBay.

Set it up, Rice-man, I'm in.

Cool Brandon. Also, I urge you to check out Printfection as an alternative.

I had used CafePress in the past as was mostly pleased with the product. I did have some shirts printed about a year ago - two, one for myself and one for a friend, and one looked great and the other was considerably less quality. There was no difference in the shirts in the order - even the same size.

Printfection has been reported to have better quality printing - I ordered 3 shirts a couple days ago - I'll let you know how they are when they arrive. Also, Printfection offers the same service as CafePress' $7/mth "Premium Shop" for no charge at all - FREE. Finally, and the reason I searched out other shops - CafePress wont print on both sides of a DARK T-shirt - onely one side and that was a deal breaker for my design.

Enter Printfection. Check it out.

Got cheaper? I'm all ears. I'd rather have one from PF for $22 than not be able to get one at all from CP.
