Where are the cards?

Zacuto also has an insert that protects your handle:

its cool but it doesnt deel with upward presure, that would happen when you grab the handel woth a load on the camera.

the zacuto stuf is without peer the best of the best out there - but their pricing strategy to me is just ****ing straight up INSANE. a reasonably comprehensive rails setup is like $2500. they may be selling 200 at $2000 but i wonder if they might sell 4000 at $1000 and just totally OWN the market???

i question their logic - but NOT their products - WOW!!!

Got the handle insert, dropped it and it did not break. Installed the new replacement handle using longer screws. I am still a bit gun shy about picking up the camera with the handle it just does not have the strength, after doing the replacement, the attachment points just do not have the strength. Rather call the handle a control surface rather than a handle.

Could someone post a picture of the HVX with the Zacuto insert installed? I just can't picture how it is going to help.

THOFF,

If one of the other users don't beat me to it, I can get something up for you on Monday. We have the Zacuto insert in stock.

Best regards,

Andrew Hoffman

Just returned from Nice, France, The Zaco handle insert helped with the downward pressure of a light mounted on the handle. all went well. Still gun shy about the handle even with the longer screws. Ran into a crew from Germany, their FS100 went down. LCD stopped working.

Andrew, thanks, but I figured it out. I originally thought the Zacuto was supposed to help support the weight of the camera (I remember someone broke one off on a jib), but now I realize it goes under the handle to support a monitor etc.
