GH2 When to use the GH2?

I am a new GH2 owner who has yet to discover the strengths of this camera. I'm not saying the GH2 dosen't have strengths..., I'm saying I haven't devoted the time to test and compare the GH2's performance against my alternate camera options.

I currently own a HVX200a with a SG Blade 35mm lense adaptor. I have a small set of Nikon Prime Lenses. Now I've added the GH2 14-42mm Kit, and I bought a Nikon to M43 adaptor to adapt the nikon lenses to the GH2.

I do understand the strengths of the HVX200 having more "engineering" functionality (i.e., audio inputs/controls, iris, focus, nd filter controls on the body, etc.

My Question:
What situations should I consider using the GH2 over the HVX200a?

Low light?
Yes...maybe if I have fast lense like the pancake 20mm??

Any thoughs?

Thanks in advance!

Hugh

Another good time to use it would be when you want to go un-noticed, if you ever have the need to do so. People just think you're taking photographs. But yeah...low light and cost are probably the No 1 reasons for using these cams instead of HVX200a/adapter or similar set ups. Cost isn't a factor in your case since you already own the Panny/adapter...but for a lot of people just starting out, the GH2 is a great camera and affordable.
Many others have gone away from the adapter route because of the light loss and size and moved to DSLR's exlusively.
I think you have the best of both worlds.

If you're an event videographer, I would say close-ups, anytime you want a dof effect, low-light. Don't forget it's small and can go places a full size can't
and you can shoot handheld a bit here and there without a whole rig or your arm breaking off.

I think if you compare certain shots you'll find the gh2's image quality to be superior. Not on all shots maybe, but on those like listed above.

I do more film type stuff I have a 150 as well and I use the 150 for the framing or wider establishing shot of a scene, the gh2 for
insert shots and closer frames.

But honestly, I think'll you'll find pretty often the gh2 just produces a better quality image. Especailly if you have multiple lenses.
