when one card is full does recording continue on the next?

so i just got my ex1 and i have to film a concert on sat night, and i was wondering do I need to do anything when one card fills up or does the clip just get split up between the two cards?

The recording continues on the next card. This way you can have non stop continuous recording as long as you have enough cards or keep offloading your footage before the current card runs out of time.

you can rejoin the clips in clip browser, or just put them sequentially in your NLE timeline.
 
no, however I tend to press the 'switch slot' before the automatic switch, just incase there is a problem with the card in the other slot. That way I can switch back to the near full card and start recording again very quickly, swap the problematic card and try again. Otherwise you could be stuck with a full card & a non functional card so no recordable media mounted.

Its never happened to me, but I just see it as a safe practice.
