When is this camera going arrive? What stores?

Any clue's when the GH1 will be in stores. It's not like they haven't made them yet. Japan and other markets have had them in stores well into a month+, yet nothing in the US..... Any ideas what store's will carry the GH1 too? Are they going to be selling body only as well?

There are no plans for a "body only" version of the GH1 - at least nothing that Panasonic has announced. As far as what stores, I take it you're speaking of physical stores, not online. I don't have any info, but my guess is that you'll see it in camera stores like Samy's, Camulet, and the like. I suppose there's a chance Best Buy might get it as well. As to when, your guess is as good as anyone's.
 
I think the delay's really working against Panasonic - in the time they've been puttering around trying to get the camera out in the U.S., we've had the 5D gain manual controls, and an increasing amount of scrutiny and dissent over the bitrate and mud problems with the GH1. A month ago, and everyone was practically ready to give it unofficial 'Scarlet' status, but now it's just another frustrating "almost, but not quite" video DSLR. Too bad.

you are totally right. Panasonic needs to get their act together real soon or their reputation as the company who are always the first to release new video innovations is going to slip. Once they release the GH1 they need to turn around real fast and get a firmware update on their 1080 mode or canon will beat them to the punch and release a 1080 24p version thats cheaper and then panny is really screwed.
 
New announcements from Canon (60D), Nikon (D300S), and Samsung (NX) are expected to come soon as well. At least one of those as-yet-unannounced products will eat into GH1 sales.

I'm surprised that they wouldn't have a body only offer. Yeah I was referring to actual stores. I guess Bestbuy would.. I'm really curious to
see it and test it out. Curious to see how it feels compared to the 5DMII.

This is BS..... Why have Asia & parts of Europe had it for sometime; however in the US there's nothing. Weird..

Spoke to the Ottawa branch of the store Vistek today. On their inventory system GH1 said estimated arrival of their shipment for 4 GH1 is June 26. I couldn't believe they only ordered 4.

Anyway I am thinking of buying the kit and selling the lens without box on ebay.
