F55: When is FS7 section coming? Please.

Moderators, any idea what's happening with the FS7 suffix or dedicated section?

With the FS7 being "new" its completely diluted the F5/F55 section. As it stands it's currently impossible to sort out the threads accordingly.

Any updates on this would be greatly appreciated, it was asked for and discussed back in October/November, maybe even September.

I second that. It's been a long time and it's created a bit of a mess. This prefix thing especially hasn't worked.
 
I'm not sure how active the site caretakers have been lately.

I also agree the FS7 needs its own area as it shares more with the F5 than the FS700 but is an FS model not an F. Either way its the most active Sony camera at the moment thread wise and its unfair to the other sections to keep pilling on the posts.
 
Yes I don't even post any F55 stuff anymore, it gets buried in 2 pages of FS7 questions.

As for where the FS7 section should be, its tough. It shares a lot with the F5/F55 for real. Probably more than the FS700 did. But its an FS e-mount camera..

Lot's hope we hear something back from the moderators soon.
 
..and I got "yelled at" when I pleaded for it 2 months ago. Even Sony put it in its own space when 5/55 section got buried in their forum and nothing happens fast over there.
 
Oh it definitely should go in the F5/F55 section. In fact the FS700 should be moved to that section too :)
 
Maybe sub forums of camera models are needed. There's just too many cameras in one section I feel, let alone now to add FS700 in that mix too.
 
I also agree we need an FS7 section. This is going to be a very popular camera for some time to come.

Haha, my buddy signed up for DVXuser and it took them about 5 days to "approve" his account. Sounds like the people running the boards are taking their time.
 
F3, f5 and f55 are all cinealta cameras.
fs100 fs700 and fs7 are all just emount s35 cameras, so why should an emount camera be addedbto this section that only has cinealta cameras?

fs7 is not modularcand shares the same problematic interface with fs700 when shooting raw
 
I read that the FS7 shares a lot of internal components with the F5, and of course the F5 shares a lot of components with the F55.
 
FS7 place is with FS100 and FS700. It is called FS7 not F7, it is e mount, it is not cinealta, it is cheap, it is small it belong with FS700. Only thing the same as F5 is sensor. But FS700 also has same sensor as F5 and it is not with the cinealta forum.
 
We are all right in different ways, but currently DVX organizes it's threads and sections by camera and model - that's how I'd like to see it remain.

Sure the FS7 has a lot in common with the CineAlta's but 1) they are not CineAlta's and 2) they've diluted the F5/F55 section.
