When does Sony have the problem fixed in their production line

I have ordered my EX1 from a shop in my home town (Bangkok Thailand). right here we have much less consumer protection laws. I can't just simply take the camera back to the shop for full refund like you guys could in the state. So I will have to make sure that everything is right in the first place.

The serial number on the camera at the shop waiting for delivery are

20008X
20012X

Does that mean anything to you? When did sony change the production process. If possible please help me with from which serial number that they start the new assembly procedure ?
 
What is your serial number on the camera. Might be a good idea to buy the one that have serial number after yours.
