hey guys, I was wondering what toys you guys got on your sound rig..

Re: what's your sound pakage?

I'm dying to see some of the replys...

I only have a B6 Lav, a XLR cable and a Sony MDR-7506 Headphone ;D

Re: what's your sound pakage?

I carry around:

Tram TR-50 XLR wired lavaliere
AT-835B shotgun mic
Sennheiser dynamic handheld mic
AT-101 wireless lavaliere mic system
Senn. Evolution 100 wireless lavaliere mic system
Senn. plug-in wireless transmitter, so shotgun or Tram can be made wireless

Plus a fishpole, mic stand, shock mount, 1.5', 3', 15' and 25' XLR cables, Sony 7506 headphones, plus some little Sennheiser ear-bud phones that are always in the pack in case I forget the 7506's! ;D

Re: what's your sound pakage?

PSC M4 and shure 33 mixers with betasnakes
DAp1 and PD4 DAT
Senh. wireless systems (2)
Lectrosonics wireless (2 185 2 187 2 201 and buying and selling )
Senh 416 and me66 - 64 guns
Tram, psc and Mk2 lavs
2 Re50s
2 Oktavas
4 AT choir mics

Gitzo and vdb poles
comtek
Loads of procell bateries, topstick, qtips, Dr. Sholls corn cushions, condoms
7506 phones (5)

some other mics and lots cables, you never have enough i guess.

Portabrace case and a few pelican cases where all the gear travels on..

A laptop for playback and sometimes to send a line from mixer and give the producer a CD xscript, but since it does not have TC, is not very usefull, but sometimes it is.. :-/

Re: what's your sound pakage?

Chris... why don't you register?

My sound package consists of two (2) empty cambell's tomato soup cans... well scrubbed out and sharp edges sanded... then I have several lengths of mason line (no cheap string here boy!)... and I mount one can over my dvx microphone and I dangle the other can over my talent with a fish pole... it's the Snoopy one from Zebco.

Really it works pretty good but the hardest part is keeping the string tight... you should hear my demo reel.

Re: what's your sound pakage?

just wondering, I saw a post asking about what you got inside your camera bag, so....

up to you

LOL

Maybe just tell us about your sound gear, I guess it will be enough...

Re: what's your sound pakage?

First off I've got a really long shotgun... one of the longest I've seen. Almost 19 inches... okay seriously, ck69 (long/short), ck63, 480b, d230 newsmic, 416, Oktava mk012 hyper/cardioid (2), nt1000 (2) with shockmounts, tr50 lavs (2), mke2 lav, Lectro wireless (2), K-Tek pole and shockmount, Rycote grip, mounts and Softies, BBG/Jammers (2), and that's about it exept for all the stands, cables, and associated essentials.

I haven't needed a mixer yet and I use my dvx as my audio recorder, even when I don't need it for the picture... I've experimented with the dvx vs minidisc and the dvx wins easy.

I don't know if I'm forgetting anything... but if I were to continue being a smartass instead of answering the question truthfully I was going to take a picture of the two BBGs flanking a 32cm Softie... use your imagination.

If you know me then you know I've had about 3 times the gear that I have now and my mic bag is ever changing... right now I'm pretty happy with what's in it though... I haven't been in a situation for a while where I wished I had something I don't have.

Re: what's your sound pakage?

Oh yeah... and of course Porta Brace and 7506 headphones. ::) Are there any other location phones which pack as neatly into a finer bag?

That's meant to be a rhetorical question, but if you really need an answer it's "no".

Re: what's your sound pakage?

That's a pretty cool kit, yeah I honestly think that the Audio on the dvx is way better than a PD150 or even 170.

I do sound for a living, I bought the DVX for a project that someone wanted me to shoot.. so here I am, another soundguy turned shooter, LOL.. learning lots about the cam in this place..

cheers
