XCheck = Ex Czech, also Cross-check (depending on the context).

Thanks to the Czech government's insistence on discriminatory treatment of expatriates throughout the world based on when they left the country and when they received another country's citizenship, and because of my continued defiance of that stupid law and continued work on a personal/political documentary that implicates the current Czech government in secret deal-making with Communists, I'd rather not publish my real name. Not as long as my family members live in Czech lands.

My name made much more sense when I had my dancing Storm Trooper avatar. He sure was a super dancer...and a trooper...hence...nevermind.

John, you can check out this tidbit of information. That's just some of the things I am dealing with. I actually met some of the people mentioned in the article, and this stuff is absolutely incredible.

DISCLAIMER: I don't intend to drag any discussion on the subject into dvxuser.com.

Cheers! You are down to 16!

I'm excitied that one of my threads got so many responses. I've been a dvxuser member since July of last year and this is only my 50th post. This has been a fun resource and I think it's cool to know a little more about each other now. Thank you.
Joe

Was a nickname I hated early in high school, and then decided I didn't care what people thought, and went with it. Now in college, and it's stuck. Whatever.

In high school (95), i needed to come up with a name for my internet adventures. Instead of thinking of something that defined who I was, I tried to think of something to define who I wanted to be. And who did I want to be? The greatest womanizing machine on the planet. So, I figured the formula for that would be one part John Shaft (from the 1972 film Shaft) and one part James Bond. And thus shaftbond was born.

I have since grown out of it (not so much the womanizer anymore), but I haven't thought of something that fits yet (it's a big decision).

Just found this thread when searching to make sure one I was going to post wasn't a repost. I realize that many people use their real names, but thought I would bring it back just because. I have always liked penguins, and every once in a while I get cynical. My name is pretty random, there is no real meaning. I was at one point going to change it to my real name but some said I should leave it and then it took off. There you go, in case you wanted to know.

The Name of our Company is
"The Saturday Evening Post-Production"
but everybody just says "The Post".

As supervisor here, I got the nickname Postmaster.

So I kept the name "Postmaster" wich is the standard name for a mail account as mail adress for the company as well as for the board.

Frank
