What's your favorite Horror Film?

There are too many for me to name just one. It kinda depends on my mood.

Halloween, The Thing, The Living Dead flicks, I could go on and on.

Take a wild guess :)

Oh, and since it's Halloween, I'll post a few pictures from my trip to some of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre locations.

The family's gas station/BBQ pit. They still serve head cheese!!

Here's the gravestones where the family posed some corpses in the first scene.

"What have you done to his eyes!"

"He has his father's eyes"

Honorables :

The Thing
Night of the Living Dead

IMO the Shining goes way downhill after half way.

I loved Alien and Aliens.

More recently, The Ring actually gave me shivers...which of course is very rare being such a manly man :)

The Haunting
Not the stupid remake that should have been called "Twister in a house", but the 1963 psychological thriller, no gore, no axes, no monster, but a riseing tension that makes you wonder what is really going on. Its a great piece.

I've always seen Aliens as more action than horror.
But, I'm splitting hairs here.

I just feel the need to shoot down anything mmm says now that I know he thinks the Shining goes downhill after half way
:)

LOL...
It just didn't pay off for me, even when I was 12 and first saw it.

Little girls = uurghggghhhhh
Moldy woman in bath = horrid!!!

Blood pouring from elevator....hmmmmm...okay.

Jack's mad? Errr... okay then. Not very scary though, especially since his wife is so funny when acting scared. I just got bored at the end... there was no tension - we knew the threat and it was only a man.

Alien is an action horror... scared the **** out of me when I was young.
