Yes! The original haunting of hill house was in B&W as well. I think Julie Harris played the lead role. I remember seeing this as a kid and then again years later and it was still the best. The house itself and audio combined to get you. Didn't need graphic scenes of gore at all. It was more effective.

Nothing beats your own imagination.
