Wow. Kai. I've seen it before, but it looks killer every time. How much would everything there cost? If you don't mind me asking. ;D

roughly 25k before software... Then you add the cost of the camera and accessories, etc... Adds up quick!!!

Re: Show off your edit station

Re: Show off your edit station

Kai, beautiful setup. I remember it well.

Is that a photo of your wife over on the left? (near the speaker) Notice how big the monitors and everything else is, but her photo is barely visible. If I were her I would DEMAND a poster of myself on the wall, just to remind you whose more important. ;D

Re: Show off your edit station

hey, since were on the subject:

Im buying a new desk for my editing station (as opposed to editing on a friends machine). I see all these desks that have the extra shelf and the monitors sit on that. It would seem that when sitting working u would always be looking UP. is this true? anyone have an problems with this? just wondering.

if anyone has any other advice on what i should look into for which station to buy, please, let me know!

Re: Show off your edit station

Mine places the monitors roughly at eye level when you're sitting with correct posture (it helps me avoid the ever-encroaching designer/editor slouch). It's really not too bad.

Re: Show off your edit station

Yeah, don't ever position your speaker setup like mine, you'll get mono. ;)

Looking up, maintains posture, and keeps your back and neck from causing you trouble ;)

really? is that intentional? is that why they're built that way?

anyone have any suggestions on models or places to buy something neat?

Just between you and me, I stole an AMC movie theatre and built a studio. Yeah, yeah I know it's a brillant idea.

It's not the gear you have, it's how you protect it:
