What's this transition effect?

I've seen this all over.. but I finally decided to ask what this transition effect is. I see it all over in this video:

Where it looks like a sun flare and it's orange and yellowish.. you'll see what I mean. What is that? Looks like something out of magic bullet or something.
 
They're simulating the effect of light leaking on to film when it shouldn't. You should be able to find a plug in which does film effects which will do it for you.
 
It's not that everyone uses the exact, same plug-in. It's that this category of effect is very popular these days - almost too popular, really. You can create them yourself, or you can buy a package of them.
 
I'm looking to find the tutorial on how to make these yourself. I had it a while ago but forgot to bookmark it. Can anyone help me out please?
 
You could find a stock "film burn"clip and use that over your cuts. The video you used as a reference looks as if they used the technique i am mentioning.
