What's this, a new short - As the Story Grows

~20 mins, WMV is about 55 mb, Quicktime about 83 mb.

Quicktime .mov
Windows .wmv

It's my third short, fourth overall project (damn school and work keeps me way too busy). I don't like a lot of things about it, especially the shoddy camera work in the first scene, but I do like a lot of as well. I think I've improved since Horrorfest.

We're going to re-record the score with better equipment soon because we're putting it in a couple of teen filmmaker festivals (the composer is only 17, and she's so freakin' talented).

The set was built in my garage last year for a different project. We did this one mainly to make use of it before I tore it down. Pretty depressing, it took 2 months to build and only one day to tear it down.

This was filmed with Andromeda, so we rolled sound and video separately. I use an Edirol Fa66 which was plugged into my iMac and to record sound. I experienced a lot of audio drift problems, I might not be recording audio at the right hz I guess?

Now, my iMac isn't really equipped to handle video editing, so I edited in Sony Vegas 6 on my PC, but I was running low on harddrive space, so I edited h.264 sd standins. After I finished editing, i rendered out Apple Jpeg .movs from Sculptor HD that were color corrected in xLUT (see reel-streams site, it's a beta LUT editor, you can render out files from sculptor with a render LUT). I color corrected with xLut because Vegas kept crashing and was way too slow when I corrected in Vegas, and it also allowed for higher quality since I'm rendering out corrected files, I didn't have to worry about artifacting so much. And my monitor for my PC is crap. I've bought a MacBook Pro now, so I won't have these awful workflow issues.

You can see the imac and stuff.

I also just noticed that the reason I couldn't find the grabs/dvx section was because it was changed to a subforum, and this can be moved if the admins don't think it fits the overall jist of this forum - which it doesn't seem to.

I use those same lights... When you put the white cloth over it, does that help get rid of the lens flare?

Edit - After I tried seein the trailer, it wouldn't open... It said the link I followed may be outdated or inaccurate
