What's the difference in these two Kingston x133 cards

There is no difference. They're the same model. If you look on the first page, you'll see that neither Adorama or NewEgg are listed. These two stores might have the product listed slightly differently, causing Bing to think that it's something different. But I see no reason to believe that there is any difference. I see this kind of thing happen all the time on Google Shopping.

BTW, in reference to another thread, are you not seriously considering spending much more money for the peace of mind of a UDMA card from the likes of SanDisk?

ydgmdlu, i can't tell if you are cutting or helping but either way i appreciate all your input on both threads...
i am going to rent lenses so i have time to decided on the L vs. the Sigma but i have to have cards right now to even start shooting at all... so i was going to save money at the outset since so many on the forum have had luck with these kingstons.

Hey man, I don't mean any ill will when I sound harsh on you. So the above comment wasn't meant sarcastically or flippantly or anything like that. I just think that people should strive to be consistent in their thinking. I don't think that anybody is perfect in that regard; self-contradiction and compartmentalization is a fundamental part of human nature. I'm guilty of it all the time.

In the other thread, you indicated that you were willing to pay $1000 more on a single prime lens because you were afraid of the buyer's remorse of buying an inferior lens. So reliable performance seemed to be important to you. In this thread, you've indicated that you want to save money on the recording media. Now think about that for a moment. Canon specifically recommends UDMA cards; Tim Smith (who's in charge of the products) said, in a press conference, that they would sometimes experience problems while recording video, problems that never appeared when they tested with UDMA cards.

So you'd spend $1000 more on a lens, but you wouldn't spend $100 more on a card that might give you more reliable performance? If you experience recording errors with a certain card, then that's footage that you simply can't use. On the other hand, if you use a lesser lens, you might not get as nice a picture so easily, but it probably wouldn't be noticeable to anyone without a side-by-side comparison.

Now, please don't think that I'm pushing you to buy UDMA cards. I don't have UDMA cards myself, and I would probably never buy them. I haven't experienced any problems, so I just don't think that UDMA is worth it. Instead, I have a pair of the Kingston Elite Pros like the ones that you listed above, except that mine are 32 GB. But the point here isn't about performance. It's about peace of mind. You thought that a $1400 lens would give you peace of mind, so I apologize for not being able to resist challenging you about peace of mind in your memory card choice. :)

As with anything, you're free to buy what you will, but you should take a moment to consider if you're buying for the right reasons. Buy something because you believe that you need it, not because you might be feeling insecure or fearful of something else. Hey, it's your money and your budget. You will have to live with your choice, not any of us here. And if you do decide to go with the expensive options, and you couldn't be happier with them, then I (and everyone here) will be happy for you! :)

gotcha, i do appreicate the input, but i should clear this up... my buyer's remorse was not on feeling awful about buying an inferior lens, it was about spending $1400 on the top line lens... see the difference... i hate spending money and i needed someone to tell me (which they did) that the L lens was not really worth the money... i needed the same thing on these cards... bascially i am so fearful of buying outside my means and being sick about it that i constantly try to find the cheaper route- always...
thanks again for everything

I have been using the ridata lightning 233x cards with no issues... they sell them on newegg.com for 79$ for a 32gb card.

Gotcha. :) That wasn't clear in the other thread.

The reality is that the L lens is worth the money, for those who can afford it. That's why it's priced accordingly. If you can't afford it, then don't even think about it. Your satisfaction with a product comes from how glad you are to have spent the money on it. Even if the quality is so good that you almost can't live without it, as long as the remorse of spending too much money is your mind, you will never be completely satisfied. So, to me, there's no reason to worry about this. Even if you find yourself unsatisfied with the quality of the lower-end product but can't afford the high-end alternative, then you probably wouldn't be anymore satisfied, overall, with going high-end than you would be with sticking to the lower-end.
