Whats the deal w/ barry's book package deal?

I contacted EVS today, and I asked them about this promotion of including barry's book and DVD with Magic Bullet for new purchases of the DVX.  The salesman had NO idea what I was talking about, he never even heard of it.  And then I talk to Rush, and he says theres no book.  I was planning on picking up a DVX this friday and I was exited because I was gonna get Barry's book too.  Two birds with one stone!  Now dont get me wrong, I am willing to pay for Barry's book, but if I am told that its free with a new purchase, then given the run-around by a very 'Authorised' dealer, then ...I'm kinda mad.  So, can someone please tell me when I can expect this package deal?

They only introduced this on new cameras fresh off the assembly line. So the thousands of cameras that are out there before they introed this offer won't have it.
And if you buy it from an authorized source, send Jan a private message and she will tell you how to get the book/dvd.

Anyone who buys from an authorized dealer, starting January 1 2005, gets it free. It's being packed in the boxes for new delivery, right in the box; if you bought from an authorized dealer but didn't get it (old stock in the store, maybe) then contact Jan directly and she'll get it to you.

Good deal Barry, I will pass it on to my sales guys so they all know. Sorry Nick, it's all news to us too, no one is giving runarounds. :) These things sometimes take place overnight! :D

hey, just bought a DVX from EVS and I diidn't know about the book offer. Who's Jan and how do I contact this person? Thanks.

Rush, there should have been a marketing bulletin sent around or something like that.

I don't know if the right process is to contact Jan or to go back to the dealer... don't want to speak out of turn. Rush, you should maybe ask Jan what the right procedure is for you to handle existing January customers...

Hi folks,

There is a marketing bulletin that talks about it, so Rush check in with your administative group that does the B2B work with Panasonic and have them down load the marketing bulletin. The process to cover those in stock at any authorized dealer is that you will fax to me a copy of your invoice with your serial number along with your name and address on the the front of it. 201-348-5318.

That is really cool, Barry, and a lot more of an honor than most people might realize. Congratulations!

The best I've ever done alone those lines was have one of my books about Leisure Suit Larry included in a boxed game set.
