What's the best way to export?

From Avid, what is the best way to export a sequence that will retain the sharpness and color information most accuratly from your timeline? What compression. Also, should one do RGB or 601 (which does the footage start out in?).

Quicktime Reference is likely the best option. Exporting as an image sequence will cause Avid to actually recompress the footage with a larger colorspace than native DV 4:1:1, which can be handy if you talking about importing into After Effects or something like that. The RGB 601 question depends on what you're doing with the sequence. Effects? DVD? etc.

Bottom line, tell me what you're exporting for and I can be more specific. Otherwise I hope that helped.

This topic is really Great! i been in this adventure for some time now, and after hours or rendering i just get disappointed with the Exported Quality.

im pretty much exporting this for DVD or Internet Broadcast purpose

most of the time i get interlace line on subjects edges, especially when theres a movement.

there was one time i exported with this setting.

DVC/NTSC,Maximun Quality,Single Field, it turns up to be great.. but

400+mb for a 2 min project was not really an option for me.
