I'm looking into purchasing my first monitor, with a budget of around $200. Not much I know, but I'm only looking for a larger screen to view.
I've been eyeing two key monitors;
Lilliput 569GB 5"
Lilliput 668GL-70N 7"
Now, here's my conundrum
On a side note, providing my DSLR screen (60D) does not turn off when an external monitor is attached, I'd ideally like to use this for viewing the filming while the Cam Op uses the DSLR Screen. Are there any sort of limits for HDMI lengths that are optimal for viewing? (Since I don't have a budget for remote viewing)
Thanks!

- While the 5" is cheaper and has an LP-E6 plate, it's relatively small.
- The 7" on the other hand, is top of the budget, but does not include an LP-E6 plate.
- I do a lot of travelling but it's frequent the client wants to view playback. (is 5" sufficient?)
- Is the lack of LP-E6 plate, and requiring different batteries and chargers worth the $60 increase?
