what's DVX100AE???

A friend of mine who's looking to buy a DVX100A(for North America). It seems that the A model has been replaced by B model. After I did a search on bizrate.com, I found there's an AE model! What's the difference between A and AE? She's looking for a new A model because the price on it has gone down quite a bit. But the A models are getting hard to find. I know there's a B model just came out to replace the A. So what's the story of A, B and AE anyway?

So which camera is the best bang for the buck at this moment?

I believe AE is PAL. Don't quote me on that though.

It is. Hence the model FX1E - The PAL version of the US HDR-FX1 model.

I'd go with the 100A since it's a heavier model than the 100B, which can make it alot easier for steady shots -IMHO.

Yes it is pal. The E in the dvxaE stands for Europe I believe.
