what would you choose? 16gig or DTE HDD

That is correct for 24 any hire frame rate and the disk space used obviously goes up. I couldn't and would very much like to find a table outlining the ratio between the frame rates shot on 720pn and disk space used. Would do it myself when I get round to having free time doesn’t look like it's going to happen in the near future.
 
It's also covered in the Operators Manual (on page 27 for the NTSC camera) and the "Invaluable Guide to the HVX200" from Panasonic (on page 16).
