What would we do without DVXuser?

DVXuser rocks. :)

But if DVXuser where to dissapear one day, what would we do? :embarasse

I read an article online a few weeks back about some game world that wasn't very succesfull so it was beeing switched off.. and entire virtual world just dissapeared at the click of a mouse. In a strange, geeky, way, it's kind of sad.

DVXuser is a amazing place, and in my 10 monthes I've been a member I've made a bunch of firends, most all of whome I have no other contact information for. I'd hate to think of all you guys (and gals) just dissapearing.

Would we all migrate to other forums? Find ourselves on pookielinks.com? google each others usernames? start a new DVXuser?

We all joke about it when the server goes/is taken down for a few hours.. panic sets in, we begin to tremble, we need our fix, but it always come back. What if it didn't? It would suck for it to just end. Should we have a backup?

Mute question - I don't see it ending..... Years left in the DVX and years more in the HVX

DVXuser has at least half a decade left...

I would be all alone in the world, and would in turn, have no social outlet whatsoever. heh!

Personally, I would migrate to other (lesser) forums and send out S.O.S.'s daily until I found you all.

Tributes would probably spring up around the world. DVX Shrines where users can come in and report their forums names to be reunited. Spielberg would proabably make a movie about it....

I agree Mikko... this place is my reference library.

Life goes on.

We'd probably all be alot more productive. I know I would be. I feel sorta tapped as far as needing the library (sans random questions here and there). I know all I need to know in the sense that I need to just make films. Period.

If I could bottle up my time spent here and channel it into my filmmaking ideals; I'd probably be doing alright.

How many of us know this to be true inside ?

I don't know about the rest of you but I'd probably get a lot more work done.
:)

Edited to add:
Just kidding John - don't ban me.

You're right in a sense, and this is probably way too serious of a comment in a thread of funny jokes, but there was a time that I seriously considered hanging up the ol DVX, packin' away the lights, and forgetting about these dreams of being a filmmaker. This site really turned me around.

Group hug!

Looking back on the comments ... er ... I guess I'm the only who who has made a joke so far. Great. Now I look like a jerk.

You bastard Krest!

LOL!

I got alot going on this year; but once again FILMMAKING is on the list.

I still have time for that damn SCIFI

I finally have my idea for the Sci-Fi fest:

"The Day the Server Stood Still"

Shoot in B&W, lots of cheesy effects, people jumping off of balconies. I love it!

I probably visit the site 10-20 times on schoolnights, and like 20-28 times on weekends, its my most visited site on the net by far...I would die without it.
