Besides the ETC mode (which I'm not minimizing, I think it's a great addition), what would I gain from a GH2 over a hacked GH1? I have a hackable GH1, I just haven't done it yet.
Native 24p, apparently better low light, better audio control, it seems the banding isn't as pronounced, and the codec has been improved...not just bitrate.
Way better low light from my own informal testing. NO FPN.
I shoot shorts/music vids/commercials etc. where lowlight ability doesn't matter as much, but I also shoot ENG work and a lot of uncontrolled lighting and it's going to be awesome as a 2nd camera in various situations and as a main camera when nothing else can get the shot.
Okay, thanks, I'm sold. The better low light is enough for me. I shoot a lot of dance concerts and wanted to start using it in those venues. Low light ability is a must. Now if I can only find one to buy. It almost seems like they don't wan to sell this cam!
