What will you rent your AF100 for?

I'm going to get a AF100 in the near future and am seriously thinking about renting it when it's not in use by me. I'll only offer wet hires though.
What are you guys asking per day/week for dry/wet hiring? Am really curious as this is a new cam, no one else has it where I live yet so I have no comparison.

I would think anywhere between $250-$400 per week might be pretty standard for the body but I could be way off. You can rent Ziess CP2 lenses for $200 a week (plus insurance) and those are $4k+ lenses.

In same position as you with a foreign rental (I'm in South Africa, camera due here in a few weeks.) and what camera's you are going up against in your local industry. Here in South Africa have to market to largely the Canon 5D filmmaker and video shooter who use Sony EX and maybe Panasonic Varicam.

Rates depend packaging and will rent here in 3 setups TBD from $400-$600 top end includes PL mount, FF, Mattebox, legs etc. Considering everyone has their personal 5D it will be an interesting year.

66.38$ seems to be way cheap... smells a bit fishy to me. I was thinking of something in the ballpark of about US$200 per day or $1200 a week.
Most rented digital camera is probably Red right now, but I'm only guessing. A Red package (full package minus lenses) can be had for about US$ 400 per day but you also have to wet hire so the bottom line will be more per day.
I'm pretty sure there won't be too many AF100s around for rental here so the availability of a camera definitely plays a role.
I think it's a great choice for low budget filmmakers as opposed to renting Red, that might be too expensive for many projects.

Ciniquipt, the local rental house, does $150 a day (body only). They also do 3 day weeks, so that is $450 a week (body only).

Lensrentals is totally legit, but that 66.38$ a day is for a 4 day rental, each day, and is for the body only. We started off renting it at $400 a week, including a 14-140 and 20mm pancake lens, but now we offer the af100 rental at $350 a week.

If you're going out with the camera, how much you charge will depend on your experience and the gear you're providing. If you have the pair of Olympus lenses (14-35 and 35-100), you've essentially doubled the cost of the camera body, not to mention the support you'll need for the 35-100, tripods & other gear.

Interesting topic...for those who rent out their AF100 -- what precautions do you take against someone walking off with your camera and never returning?

only a fool would let it out of their hands without a signed invoice/contract, credit card, and drivers license scans
