With christmas just behind us, I think it is time to treat myself to something usefull for my DVX. All that giftshopping for others, now its time for me

So what do you guys think I should buy next, I have my DVX, I have UV and Polaroid Filters, I have a decent mic.
I was thinking of a nice tripod myself, I have one, but its a pretty old thing and I think supposed to be used with photography, no fluid head or something...
What kind of tripod should I buy? I read hear about the 501 and 503 Manfrotto heads, are they really different? Will a 501 do? And what should I watch for when buying sticks?
