Due to the fact that the jobs forum is getting away from its original intention, there are some temporary changes in place until a more permanant solution can be worked out.
The jobs forum is meant to be a place where folks can hook up, find help, gain experience, network, etc.
It's meant to be a more personal kind of place. A place where the community can find each other and get togethor, and help each other out. Not a place where you can advertise your company. Not a place where you can advertise your rental packages, and things like that.
So, in the meantime, let's keep it personal. Things like this.
Hey, I'm a dp in los angeles, looking to meet up and do some freelance work. If you have anything available, please let me know. I'd love to help out.

I have 3 hvx's a supercrane, a dolly, a 10k light kit, etc, etc, etc. Contact me for rental rates at such and such.
If you want to post your "is seeking" or "is available for" please feel free to do so. Please don't post your rental packages, or advertise your company here, though. We want you to meet each other, and get out there and help each other prosper in the business.
The drama fest was a great example of people doing just that. YOu had two guys who didn't know each other from adam and eve, and living on opposite coasts who flew back and forth, and collaborated on a film togethor, and brought on dvxuser's from all levels of experience to help them with their project.
Get out there on the boards and meet some folks. There are a lot of great folks here! :thumbsup:
If you guys have any ideas on how to improve the jobs forum so it will better serve you and meet your needs/desires for this section, please feel free to shoot them to me via pm. I'm all ears. The intention is definitely not to shut people out. It's to make the Jobs forum be a more effective tool for your use. One that embodies the spirit of this community and its users.
