What the heck's happening to Fox's shows!?

On Friday, Brian Austin Green was unceremoniously whacked on Terminator, and tonight, Cutner offed himself off-screen for no good reason! If I didn't know any better, I'd think Fox was trying to save a few bucks in this recession by dumping actors. It's the only explanation for the abruptness of both characters departures.

yeah man. I just got home off set, only caught the end of House and find out Kutner is dead?

Wtf kinda crap is that? I actually got SAD. My GF's like "WTF DID WE MISS! WHY!? GO SeaRCH THE nETz for ANSURZ11111"

=(

I mean if they canned Kal Penn they probably gave him mad money in exchange to use him in their rather genious viral campaign. Kutner's Memorial?

I'm sure he got a nice lump sum, or at least I hope he did. Maybe a deal to partake in the site's revenue for the remainder of the month, which should be increased by people going to that well-rounded add-on page for his death.

WHAT?!?!

Oh man, we need a SPOILER alert or something. I don't watch NEW House episodes but I watch the re-runs ALL THE TIME, some of them current. I liked Kutner. That's a bummer. Well, since now I know, how'd it happen?

Nevermind. Found it.

I was totally blown away Sunday on Celebrity Apprentice... when Jesse James strangled Trump to death... he kept saying "you're faaa... you're fffaaa"... yep, they're definitely trying to save some money.

You know there was an AP aritcle that said something about actors are getting less money due to the current "meltdown".
So you may not be far off the mark at all....

On that note, I had a thought the other day. This season of the Sarah Connor Chronicles seems to be more cerebral and less CGI.

More drama & less explosions. (Except for that Skynet factory that the woman from Garbage blew up. They love to show that over and over in the "previously on..." thingy)

Do you think a down economy plays a part in scriptwriting? What can and can't be factored in to a weekly episode? It's gotta be cheaper to shoot a conversation in a garage than a massive team of SWAT troops storming a hotel, right?

To totally defeat my argument, things are still gettin' blown up left & right on 24.....
