Smallest one possible, its only for scene and user files, very little space needed. Check page 32 of your manual..

PS= Welcome to the board...

Hi Patrick... welcome!

The SD card is only used to store scene and user settings.... All of which take up a whopping 40K... so even a 64MB card is way overkill for what you'd be storing on the card...

Whatever is cheapest. I got a 2GB SD card from Kingston for free (actually I made 5 bucks off their rebate). Just look out for some deals.

Good point, now that we've had two firmware updates for the HVX already released, making sure your card is big enough to handle a firmware update is probably a good idea. So at least a 64MB card, but as was said earlier, whatever's cheapest... if a 1GB is cheaper than 64MB, get the 1GB...

if youve got 93 macs in the house , getting a 2gb might be handy just to have the extra space to move something quickly. but whatevers cheapest really, the happy zone is around 2gb. about 17 bucks. its not that big of an investment.

Microcenter usually sells their own brand of SD cards for like $5-10, usually at least 1 gig.
I also say get the cheapest 1-2gb card you can find.

To me a 2GB doesn't make that much sense unless they are all priced the same even a 1GB is over kill but as long a you have a SD over 64mb you should be okay for the long run

Just look at the hot deal forums at Fatwallet.com. They always have a deal on SD cards listed that you can find at Best Buy or Circuit City. Just type SD in the search field and several will come up. I got mine for free after rebate.

Nice, good idea checking there. I have a few SD cards and I have multiple uses for them. Plus it's a good idea to get a bigger sized one as opposed to a 64mb one, future updates could be bigger in size! (plus 64mb is kinda worthless in general)
