what shutter for smoothest 24p?

It is if you don't want motion blur. Most people do. Depends on you, there's no 'best', just best for a certain need.

Do you have the camera? Run some tests... the same goes for your 24p/30p slow-mo question.

Faster shutter, less motion bur. But it's not the faster the better. Faster shutter is faster SHUTTER, not CAMERA. You're not capturing more frames per second. Try 90º for fast movement, if it's not enough then push it further but be careful. Maybe if you're doing specific slow-motion and want to get it just right you could adjust the shutter little by little using the speed shuttter adjustment. I've never done it, it's just an idea.

As I said, if you own the camera, start testing! If you rent you never really have the time to sit down and learn (unless you pay for extra time)... but if you have it... don't waste that privilige.
