FEATURE: What Should I REALLY Improve?

Hey everyone! I'm working on my second feature at the moment (actually my first, since the last one could hardly be considered a feature..) Anyway, we've come a long way in shooting already, but there's something I've been thinking about.. What should I change RADICALLY from my first film (in the one I'm working on now) to make it more entertaining, scarier, more intense.. Basically the question is; what does my new film require for you guys to enjoy watching it more.. (I'd REALLY appreciate constructive answers that will help me improve..)

Here's my previous film (the profanity could be varied a bit, but that's already been taken care of.... you'll see what i mean..) the film has LOTS of flaws in both editing, sound design, sound editing, but what I am hoping to get is advice that will make my next gore-fest have a better flow and make the audience stuck to their seats;

So ADVICE, ADVICE, ADVICE!

First of all... get a different camera, study your favourite movies - framing,camera moves and try copy them exactly( DONT make out your own moves, most of the time amateur filmmakers make this mistake and they dont even learn camera movement and lens choice - huge mistake and ignorance), observe why and when wide angle is used and why and when 50mm is used.There is a lot to learn, buy DSLR, Canon 550D should be OK.
I know that you shot this with camcorder for holiday vids and no matter how hard you try im not gonna enjoy it because of how this movie looks like.Check some fcrabbath vids on youtube, he had decent short horrors with 35mm adapters and DSLR.
