what Should I purchase with my DVX100?

I work at a church, and we are getting ready to invest in a DVX100 for
video production. I'm just an amateur when it comes to video. Graphic design and sound are more of my thing, and I kind of feel overwhelmed trying to figure out what all we need to purchase, and any help will be greatly appreciated.
We are on a pretty strict budget, and I need suggestions for the following items.

What would be a good, inexpensive shotgun mic and boom pole?

A cheap fluid head Tripod?

What else will I need for video production?

Also, suggestions on where to purchase the items would also be appreciated.

I currently have a PC with firewire and Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 for editing.

not bad for the money. but it's not great either. If you take care of it, it will last a while and you can get some pretty smooth pan and tilts out of it.

Boompole: I bought an $50 boom pole of of ebay almost 10 years ago and it still works flawlessly.

You will need lighting: Vhttp://www.amazon.com/Victor-K64-Controlled-Quartz-Portraiture/dp/B000QGOXYW

something like this will work.

You will also need headphones, Mic cables, some kind of monitor (speaker)

keep in mind this is the low end of the scale for everything. You could spend a lot more but if you need something decent these will work for not a lot of money. hope it helps.

Whats the monitor for?

I have the provista tripod. It is actually pretty good for the price. Very smooth pans and tilts, but not the sturdiest tripod... I have had it for almost a year now and the only thing that is failing is the rusting screws (music video shoot on a lake shore when a big wake shot at the tripod.... 4 times)! It also comes with a set of dolly wheels for free, so there's a bonus!

I'd also scoop an external monitor for help on focusing, framing and also so that you or your production team/script sup. can observe what's being shot.
