What Questions Should I Ask???

Hey Folks,

I know a camera repairman who stated he can clean my DVX for $145, heads, interior lens, and then some. In fact, when I was at his place, he had a DVX there being serviced.

He's been in business at the same location for years, so he's not going anywhere. However, I don't know what questions to ask to be certain I can trust his service on the DVX in particular.

Any thoughts? For instance, should I ask what he uses to clean the heads? :undecided

Ask whatever you want just to see if he sounds like he knows what he's talking about. Doesn't matter if you do. The most important thing is to make sure you understand what happens if it breaks again due to his error; if he guarantees his work and gets that to you in writing.

Thanks for the replies.... I'll definitely check out the sticky and study it. Then I'll go in there like a champ who "knows it all"! J/K... It always good to be well-informed with stuff like this, though....
