Hey all

Im selling one of my HVX200a to get some new equipment but I dont know what is a reasonable asking price for it. What is the current value today for a used HVX with no scratches or problems? And for a old 16g and 32g P2 cards. Thanks for any help I appreciate it.

Oh and I did try searching on ebay and such for prices and I couldn't really figure out exactly what they sell for used.

Thanks again.

Johnny

is that including the P2 cards or for just the camera? And $2000 is pushing the limits on the value of a used HVX or could I possibly sell for more?

Depends what else you are adding to sweeten the deal. People are typically weary of ebay and online purchasing of used equipment (trust me I know) the best way to add value is proof that the camera was service recently, and has some sort of proof of work done like a service ticket. More people will trust that and if it comes with a warranty from the place its serviced, that easily adds an extra $600 or maybe more.

Thanks guys. I recently had the codec serviced about a 8 months ago. Other than that it works great. Not sure if I saved the paperwork though. I guess ill have to throw in the P2 cards in the package. Hvx200a +16g +32g cards. Lastly would anyone suggest selling through craigslist?

You guys are way WAY OFF!

Check eBay and on the left click on "completed listings"...and make SURE you're searching 200"A". Not just 200. A 200a with a 16gig card just went for around $2900. One with an adaptor and a couple of old Nikor lenses (under $100 lenses) for $3500...with a 16 gig card

If you've got low hours, cosmetically clean AND TWO P2 cards...the 16 and 32, that's a really nice bargaining chip! You should get at LEAST $3,000 for your rig. I'd start at $3250 locally and see what happens. I think new ones without a card are about 3700. That's 4k with a 16g card.

Good luck and if you really are willing to drop it for 2k...a 200a plus the cards let me know, I'll wire you the cash tomorrow:)
