what other p2 cards are usable

as the title says what other cards can be used with the hvx. the manual talks about how to upgrade the firmware for different cards and how to format...does anyone know of any other cards that can be used?

no cards to record, just to update firmware (via SD card), and for fiel/scene settings.

If you are looking for alternatives to record the HVX stream, search "firestore", firewire streaming...!
 
P2 cards are the only cards you can record too. The firmware updates that you are describing probably pertain to necessary updates as cards become larger, and minor changes in sd technology that the p2 cards use.

The only other options for recording dvcpro hd, dvcpro 50, and dvcpro, other than p2, are to record direct to laptop via an NLE that supports live capture. Or to use a direct-to-disk solution described above. Either the currently available FS-100, or the upcoming Cineporter would be the recommended direct-to-disk solutions. Firestore uses firewire. The Cineporter will use the HVX's p2 slots.

Of course, miniDV can be shot to tape on the HVX, or to p2, or any of the above described methods.
