What Nle Software Programs Support P2 Files For Pc

I HAVE ALOT OF FOOTAGE STUCK IN MY P2 CARD WHITOUGHT BEING ABLE TO UPLOAD TO MY PC WHAT SOFTWARE WOULD WORK THE BEST PLEASE GIVE ME A LIST AVID? VEGAS? PREMIERE ETC. THANKS:zombie_smiley:
 
All major NLEs (except Vegas) provide native MXF support for P2. With Vegas, you'd need Raylight.

So: Avid XPress Pro HD and Media Composer and NewsCutter, Adobe Premiere Pro 3.1, Newtek SpeedEdit 1.5, EDIUS Broadcast, Pinnacle Liquid, all Autodesk products, and probably others that I can't think of offhand.
 
You do not have to have any NLE to offload the footage (files) from the P2 Card to a PC

Obviously you need an NLE to Edit them though.
 
Movie Master, how much footage can you have crammed on your P2 card? Is it like a 120 GIGer? :) Just playing with ya.

We use NewTek's SpeedEdit on our Alienware PC Laptop. The most important part for us is being able to quickly load and test the clips for color and audio before we record over the cards. We sometimes build a rough edit for clients on location and SpeedEDIT makes this a snap. We like being able to play the clips while still in the .mxf folder. You can quickly pick the last take and just load those on the timeline, hence the name...SpeedEDIT. :)
