What mount is this?

Recently got a Tessar Zeiss lens at a garage sale that has the same mount as this lens:

Anyone know what kind of mount this is? What it's called? It's too big to be C-Mount, etc. The lens doesn't have clicks on the aperture ring. It's a Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm f/3.5. There is also a T in there somewhere...t-mount?

Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks!

Reviving this old thread to ask a simple question:
Are there any m42 t-mount lenses for modern dslrs (550d, GH1, 5d etc.)?
Thanks.

you can find adapters for almost anything, provided the distance are kept correct. for this body canon is nice since the thickness of the body is smaller than other brands, so there is always some space left to use an adapter.
(and that is why old nikon lenses are better than old canon FD lens).
for threaded lens mount, you can find 2 M42 (metric and non metric) and M39.
