What monitors do you use?

Not sure if this is the right spot for this but wondering what kind of monitors you're using with your FCP system?

I want an external monitor for my Macbook Pro and am considering the 30 inch and new 27 cinema monitors.


Any preferences? Pros and cons?
 
i got the dell u2410 for my mac pro and it works great at half the cost of a cinema display of the same size
 
You can't use a computer monitor to judge video work. You need to work in YUV space. If you can't affort a broadcast monitor, then at least get a matrox breakout box for use with whatever monitor you choose.

What's the function of the matrox breakout box?
 
The ORIGINAL MXO will allow for this...because of the way it does things. So you can. But I thought the question was what COMPUTER DISPLAYS to use for editing, not for critical viewing and color correction.

Go DELL. Better than Apple displays, and CHEAPER.
