What model Sachtler / Gitzo is this?

I just recently started a new job, and going through the old equipment (lots of SD ENG stuff) I found a Gitzo / Sachtler tripod. But there are very few markings on the whole thing. The Gitzo legs have only "G1424" on the bowl, but looking deeper, that's just the bowl it seems. The only other markings on the legs are a sticker that reads "Made in Italy." Not too helpful. The Sachtler has "DV 12 TB / DV 15" written on the inside. But that yields no results (though the 1201 looks to appear in a lot of the search results). Looking at all of the photos of the legs and heads for sale, they basically all look the same. How do I know what I'm using?

Yep, that's what it looks like. To be honest, this set-up is way overkill for me, though. I'll probably use the legs, but that head is very unnecessary.

Yep, it uses the lock-offs.

I've used that gear many times. No, not gear like it but that very gear at Century. They used those tripods/heads with (2) Sony DSR 570 cameras. Do they still have them?

Ha ha, yeah. I was actually going to message you. Those heads are great, but totally overkill (as those cameras aren't going to be used anymore).

As of this moment, all of the gear is still there.

Yeah, the 570s were great in their day, but, alas, only SD. Is Century planning to get rid of some of that old gear?

Yeah, I don't doubt it.

Yeah, I figured it would be better heading out to try to find someone that could use it as opposed to just collecting dust. All four cameras (the DSR-570s and the PD170s), the tripods, possibly more. I've only had a little time to venture into the dark chasm behind that wall. I'm trying to cut some of the fat, as I know I'll be the main one moving everything to shoots and I don't want to carry more weight around than I need.

OH, I don't know if you're in the market for it, but I know there are hundreds of used DVCam tapes in a bunch of boxes. I can let those go REAL cheap!
