I know L series lens are good, and I really like using them, I mean who doesn't, but I don't have the money to buy them myself. What are some good cheap Lens for shooting video?

The 50mm 1.4 is a good lens for the price.... If you want to go really cheap then the 50 1.8 is 100$. If you looking for a zoom lens try to find one with a fixed aperture.

Tamron and Sigma both make optically excellent 70-200mm f/2.8 zooms. Great value for money. Unfortunately a lot of the other great 3rd party lenses (eg the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 or the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8) are made for crop sensor camera so they will vignette on the 5d.

If you are not too worries about AF for stills, then vintage glass is the way to go. Nikon, Pentax and Takumar lenses are great quality and all easily adapted to the 5D.

For your full frame 35mm sensor (video):

Priority #1 is Canon 85mm f/1.8 USM

Priority #2 is Canon Normal EF 50mm f/1.4 USM

Priority #3 is Canon Wide Angle EF 35mm f/2.0

All three of those combined should cost less than a single cheap "L" zoom, and any one of those 3 are about 300% better in low light than the most expensive of zooms.

By cheap how much are you willing to spend on a lens? As AGMedia posted those are all spectacular lenses that even also own. Also what type of works do you plan on shooting?
