I don't know about you guys... but I've been drooling over Zeiss Distagon lenses ever since I saw what they could do on the GH2. To my eyes most zeiss lenses have a unique mojo that's pretty identifiable. Sharp as a tack, but so smooth... no harshness anywhere to be seen. I just love how it renders a slightly neutral color as well, unlike most modern lenses. So, after being taunted by this random video done with some Zeiss glass, I finally decided to jump on the 25mm 2.8.
To my eyes and after having watched countless GH2 videos done with many many different types of lenses, from Voigtlanders to Canons and all the vintage glass in between, this is the look that I like the most:
Most well shot videos using a GH2 w/ Zeiss glass tend to have a very similar look, and it always blows me away.
So what do you guys think? Forgetting about price or availability for a second, what lens or particular series of lenses produces the best image on the GH2?
