what kind of cable for slave cam?

Hello all! I would love to use my cheap sony handycam as a slave cam for my DVX but I'm really confused on what kind of wire to use to connect the two together. Does anyone know where i can get one and what kind and if i can run over to the local Best Buy and purchase one there? Thanks in advance!
 
Assuming your sony handycam has firewire in (I think sony call it I-link) then you just need a 4pin - 4pin firewire cable. The DVX should automatically output the video over the firewire. Then you just need to set the sony to record the incoming firewire feed!

A slave camera is a camera connected to the DVX to be used to make an instant backup copy of whatever the DVX is shooting; to extend the recording time available so that a long shoot, such as a concert that lasts more than the time allowed on one tape can be recorded without time lost due to tape changes; or to do all the recording for the DVX so that the DVX's recording heads are not used at all.
