What is your Backup Gear?

Hi Guys!

Still haven't got my HMC..! Till then I am preparing for other things.
Most importantly the Backup solution. If you are on the remote place, how do you backup your cards?
on Laptop? or any other Storage Device?

I am considering these... Jobo, NextoDI, HyperDrive, Wolverine

How well can we trust these products for our critical video Data?

I have 32gb worth of space in cards, I don't have a need to back up my footage on scene =X

Just buy a ridiculous amount of cards for the price of that storage device!

I don't back up my cards. I don't reuse them. I use the cards like tape.

why? if you have the option of reusing them why don't you?

I don't back up on-site. I follow the same process I did with tape, which is when I get back from a shoot, then I create a file in my computer and download everything before I even have a cup of coffee.

Its all the same data, I don't know why you wouldn't reuse the cards.

I put them on a 2nd drive on the desktop and backup on a portable 2.5

Cost wise, its much better to get a few external 500+gb 2.5 drives that are dedicated to video - rather then store 8-32gb cards everywhere.

Never heard that one before. Seems a bit impractical. I'm very interested to hear the reason for doing this!
