Hi filmmakers,

I try to make a top 100 best comedy films (or unintentionally comic films) to share on blue Monday.

I use different sources, and I would appreciate the input of filmmakers.

Which film made you laugh.

My (today's) list in random order:
- Meaning of life
- Pink panther https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jOtVy3t7-Q
- lock stock and two smoking barrels
- Naked gun
- The Plank
- Staplerfahrer Klaus
- Blazing Saddles
- Sink or Swim (le grand bain)
- life of Brian
- Friday the 13th (1,5 speed, with muted sound and with pink panther theme music on).

What is your top 10-list? Your input is much appreciated.

I'll add (in random order) -

"The Producers".
"Something about Mary"
"Some like it hot"
"Take the money and run"
"Bananas"
"Duck Soup"
"Night at the Opera"
"Horse Feathers"
A whole bunch of Chaplin, Keaton, Laurel and Hardy and the Three Stooges shorts.
"Kidnapping, Caucasian style"
"The Gentlemen of Fortune".
"Ivan Vassil'evich changes jobs"
"Young Frankenstein" (or is it Frankensteen?)
"Spinal Tap"
"Tootsie"
--------------

and this doesn't include any romcoms like "When Harry met Sally", "Annie Hall", "You can't take it with you", "It happened one night", the "Philadelphia Story", "Sabrina", etc.

Can we consider “Arrested Development” a film?

As well, Seinfeld may forever be my most quoted comedic genius series. I rewatched some with my wife recently and they didn’t seem to age as well in action, even though the ideas themselves are still enough to make me laugh without a performance at all.

I'll give you 13 in no particular order:

Groundhog day
Ghostbusters
Producers
Some like it hot
Happy gilmore
Coneheads
Big lebowski?
Arsenic and old lace
Maybe night at the opera
High fidelity
Liar liar
Dr strangelove
Singin in the rain

10.Caddyshack
9.Natural born killers
8.Ball of Fire- Barbra Stanwyck, Gary cooper
7.Texas chainsaw massacre-yes it’s a comedy
6.The Lady Eve
5.American Psycho
4.It Happened One Night
3.Mash
2.Sullivans travels
1.Animal House

The Sting
Burton Fink/Lebowski
Pulp fiction/Reservoir dogs
Full metal jacket
Natural Born Killers/Cargo 200 (the darkest humor, i've seen)
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Groundhog day

Midnight Run
When Harry Met Sally
What About Bob
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
The Princess Bride
The Three Amigos
Legally Blonde
Singin' in the Rain
Tommy Boy
One Crazy Summer

I do think Balabanov's grossly overrated.
Agree with "overrared". Never liked his "Brats" or "Zhmurki". But "Cargo 200" is slighly different in terms of production quality, stylistics and subtle sense. It can be interpreted in different ways, which usially indicates a good movie
