What is wrong with this clip?

I shot this a couple weeks ago just after I got my camera. I'm not sure why it turned out the way it did but it seems like it should have been a better quality clip.
I put it through the Raymaker at highest quality and then rendered it on my Sony Vegas 11 software. I uploaded it to Youtube and this is how it turned out.
Anyone know why it doesn't look better than this?

Both project properties & render settings & also camera settings.

Project Properties settings:
Template: HD 1080-60i (1920x1080, 29.970 fps)
Width: 1,920 Field order: Upper field first
Height: 1,080 Pixel aspect Ratio: 1.000 (Square)
Frame rate: 29.970 (NTSC)
Steroscopic 3D Mode: Off
Full-resolution rendering quality: Good
Deinterlace Method: Blend fields
[box checked] Adjust source media to better match project or render settings

I can’t find the render settings and I’m sure I have changed my camera settings since then so I don’t know what it was set to.

Do you know wether you were recording interlaced or progressive as that makes a big difference.
i have just been through a similar thing with regards to Vegas settings & end results so I will sit down after work & go through some stuff.
 
The metadata should be stored somewhere in the file to tell you what the settings are.
ill have a look tonight where you would find it as I have never had to look for the metadata.
 
ND filter would have definately been an advantage to bring back the sky.
As for your vegas settings, i would set the render quality to best, pixel format to 32 bit video levels & use the Main Concept, internet HD 1080 as the output format.
Just this week though i have been looking into the sony settings from another problem i had & it seems that the vegas output is pretty ordinary.
There is a product called handbrake that you can render MP4 files from so give that a try.
I am going to download it over the weekend & have a go at using it.
