maybe its just me but I have to tell ya I am pissed. this DVX is my 2nd panasonic camera and I thought I was be loyal to a loyal company, but I get 200 rebate, but if i had waited a week it turns out I would have gotten 400 rebate?

This is B.S. Does panasonic not see how this would piss off there loyal customers?
or am i off the wall here?

Consider youself lucky, i purchased mine on bhphotovideo and i was SUPPOSED to get a $200 rebate, but when my cam arrived a nice little paper came that simply said "Rebate not yet available" with no other information pertaining to how/when it will become available. Atleast you got SOMETHING back. lol. I love my dvx to the point where $200 doesnt really bother me, but it still would be nice to have back in my pocket. (if anyone else experianced this and did something about it, perhaps post the solution)

You're off the wall. Get over it. Promotions change. You can spend your whole life waiting to spend less, or you can get off the fence, buy a camera, and start shooting.

I bought my camera just before they started offering the rebate and Barry's Book. What did I do? I bought Barry's book and shot some stuff. No big deal. At least you have a kick-ass camera.

Technically there is always somebody who just bought the camera right before the rebate you just happened to be that person this time. Just feel lucky because how would you have felt if you had bought it the day before and they did that ?

Paid the full price at B&H: $3995.00 and it was worth every dollar.

Is this a complaint about getting something for less, but not quite "less" enough?

I bought my camera from B&H and got the little slip of paper too. The rebate wasn't available until February, and then you had to go on Panasonic's website to register for the $200 rebate. I got my $200 check about a month ago, but I think the promotion might be over.

OK
I see your point and I love the camera and my film is turning out great, but I still think that Panasonic should give the same rebate to everyone who has bought this camera and not change things up, oK JOe you get this and Ted you get that and Fred you get these, Trust me I am happy getting 200 dollars and would have bought the camera with out the rebate.

It reminds me of when Apple released the quad core. Imagine if you had bought a dual core just days before. The price points were pretty similar, that would have been a sad time. That kind of stuff happens with any company. At least Apple and Panny are two companies driving innovation in the area we love.

Hmm I bought an Audi A4 and then 6 months later they released the current model. I guess you could always wait till deals get a little better or some upgrade occurs... but then you would......... just be waiting.
